BASEMENT FUCKING JAXX
God they better be at Ultra.
According to the HARD site this event has gone from “at the Forum” to “location TBA”.
I think this event will go back to the Shrine, which will mean horrible set time conflicts like last HARD Haunted Mansion.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if the Shrine and the company that insures the HARD events jack up their costs for renting and hosting the event after the disaster that was HARD Summer 2009. This could mean increase in ticket prices or the dropping of a few acts from the lineup.
I felt last years HARD Haunted Mansion was poorly planned and executed (less so than HARD Summer 2009 fiasco).
For HARD to successfully grow they have to at least consider:
-Ditching the Groove Tickets/Will Call bullshit. It creates too long and chaotic lines. Make will call and option, but encourage shipping the tickets.
-Eliminating the two separate entrances for Groove Tickets and Ticketmaster Will Calls. At the last HARD Haunted Mansion, no one was at the Ticketmaster entrance and everyone was pushing through the Groove Ticket entrance. Open both entrances for everyone and split the crowd evenly.
-Hiring more security for the entrances, dangerous areas inside the venue and weak spots around the perimeter. I saw tons of people hoping fences at the last HARD Haunted Mansion and at HARD Summer 2009. Some made it and some didn’t. And I’m sure you all know what happened at HARD Summer 2009 that ended the night early.
I’m sure everyone is turned off by HARD events right now, but that will all pass. Lets just hope Gary Richards and company spend the money to make this event flawless and amazing. It’s the only way HARD will grow.

Wow, Already so much better than Hard Summer Fest.
Hard is fantastic. It is a fairly focused electronic festival compared to a similar one that will happen the same night (monster massive).
I wonder, are these festivals any good?? Considering driving down for this.
