Is It Fake?
When it comes to being an avid festival-goer, which is probably anyone who visits our FestivalOutlook.com on a day-to-day basis, there aren’t many things more exciting in life than the confirmations, rumors, and ultimately, announcements pertaining to the lineups of our favorite major music festivals. After all, what’s better than waking up one morning only to discover a Pavement reunion at Coachella is now the hot rumor of day? Well, besides actually seeing this Pavement reunion in person, nothing much.
But as fun as this time of the year can be, it is also important to proceed with caution because for every solid
confirmation or worthwhile rumor present, there are about 10 times as many more that have no basis or validity whatsoever, many of which are result of those dread fake posters. With FestivalOutlook.com, we do our best to separate fact from fiction and provide you with a database of information that offers only the most researched and realistic festival confirmations and rumors around. In our ever-growing attempt to approve, we have added one more step to our coverage with “Is It Fake?”
This page will provide an up-to-date, comprehensive list of all the festival posters currently floating around the web. Never again will you have to ask yourself, “is this real?” “Have I mysteriously stumbled upon the lineup for (insert festival name here)?” If it’s fake, it’s below. If it’s real, well, you’ll likely find it on on the related festival’s individual Festival Outlook page.

Thanx for the heads up. While most of these posters are imposters, we can only dream* thank u for FESTIVAL OUTLOOK. I’m on my mobile everyday for updates*
phish, dead, and dave chapelle at bonnaroo. thats my dream
Guys the new Lolla poster was a project on Lolla Board on who people WANTED to play … it is not supposed to be real or realistic.
the new lolla is BS. the cure would be ablove the white stripes and outcast and bjork is not touring this year. it alos forgot depeche mode who have an real obvious break inthe ir toru schedule that will include a lolla date.
that new lolla poster looks like a coachella poster minus the background
that new lollapalooza one is wayyyy too good to be true… but i think there are some fair assumptions that can be made from that poster just based on the festival market
There is a poster claiming to be an originial 2008 Lollaplaooza Poster on EBay so I put a bid on it an now I think I’ve been had. It’s signed and numbered by (what appears to be T. Ripley- not the guy that did the original official poster. What do I do? Do I have any choices at this point? I sent the seller a note asking you this particular artist is and havent heard back yet.
that rothbury lineup is wicked awesome. i’d shit myself if it came true.
even better roo poster here -> http://bonnaroo.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=music&action=display&thread=16231
I LOVE the 5th roo poster!!!
The 5th roo poster was made by a guy that posts over on the inforoo boards.. we have been discussing it over there and its the best looking one to date and the most believable but no way to tell and besides the lineup comes out tomorrow so.. guess we will find out if they get some “heady” headliners
That 5th Bonnaroo poster is very believable. smell a leak?
if the crowd at coachella is anywhere as bitchy as the coachella board posters, it’s one festival that i do not want to attend, no matter who is playing.
The #14 Fake Coachella poster sure stirred up some controversy last night. I think that’s the most believable one I’ve seen (minus Radiohead, Neutral Milk Hotel, MBV, and Jack White(?))
I’m disappointed by many of the Coachella ones. There are enough bands confirmed that you absolutely have to make sure you get them. If someone came up with a No Doubt headlining Friday, Killers Saturday, and Green Day Sunday supplemented with bands that everyone knows are going to play, it would be easier to believe. Why would someone waste their time putting on Bowie or Radiohead when everone would immediately know it’s a fake?
@TheGhost: Just like in ‘08, then.
I could see Franz being at V fest, and MABYE Blur, but the rest of the bands definitely wont be there.
Except for the complete and total lack of hip hop.
the coachellas are getting more and more consistant and realistic and awesome!!!!
the first and second vfest bills were stellar, last years was pretty shit overall, especially missing spirtualized and mgmt.
i doubt any of those bands on the posted bill will even be on the bill though.
That V fest lineup is pretty sweet, aside from listing Peaches ahead of FF, and the fact that there is no way that many awesome bands will be at V Fest.
the bonnaroo 3 and 4s seem possible, with the talk of phish, the dead, and springsteen headlining already.
“Bonaroo 3 and 4 seem on the money”
You think….those look like some pretty stellar lineups that will get my money out of my wallet….worried its two good to be true.
i love the vfest line up…i’d be in heaven but it’s a fake for sure!
but even the fake is better than 2008’s lack lusture lineup. two big headliners and a mainstage full of shit bands didn’t work. then all the good bands were on the side stage which meant for far too many conflicts.
Bonaroo 3 and 4 seem on the money
That second Bonnaroo poster looks like it was created on Microsoft Word 97
anticipation is at feverish levels…..
coachellas 11 and 12 both lead to 12 when clicked on.
God that last Coachella poster is just plain amazing. Add Echo & The Bunnymen and I will be there in a heart beat.
does anyone else notice that the yellow coachella poster is becoming more and more likely?
that one is the best….. Led Zeplin, Queen, The Doors, Sublime, Alice in Chains and the Beach Boys, whats the matter the guy couldn’t fantisize enough to have Nirvana and the Beatles play also…..
It seems those crazy kids are at it againe:

yeah that bonnaroo poster could sell me no problem, depending on how it held up with other festival lineups.
the only problem i have with the bonnaroo poster is that the knife is way to godamn low on it.
that bonnaroo poster is very cool
is there any hope for some of the bands that are consistantly mention in these? are these coming out of wishful thinking from rumors? Like for instance is Madness going on a reunion tour this summer? because that would be wild!!!!!! can we look at common threads of these and be optimistic for the line up and summer season or is it all shit?
The first Coachella poster has the best three lines (for starters, Gorillaz, Chemical Brothers, OPERATION IVY!!!, Madness, Nas, Pavement, White Stripes, etc.). Anyone else notice the retro feel to all of the line-ups? I dig it…
I seriously hope the real coachella lineup is nowhere near like that yellow fake. I’d cry…
That new Coachella poster is excellent! Hopefully Paul Towlett sees it and makes not of who needs to be there.
The new Coachella one is REAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
I mean I wish it was.
Beastie Boys, Radiohead AND U2 ???!!!???
NEVER gonna happen
god bless photoshop
i need to start checking out these bands…rags to radio, the tet holiday…..always the small bands on the poster that surprise me
yeah definately, that rothbury lineup is fuckin sweet. where in the hell do you guys find these fake lineups like this? im really stoked to start seeing some true rumors and additions to rothbury, but i doubt that happens anytime soon.
That Rothbury lineup is incredible, and the 2 Coachella ones are pretty nice. But I dont think anyone would fall for that Lolla lineup.
wow, id love to actually see that Rothbury lineup…. and that 2nd Coachella poster is flawless!
