My husband and I are coming from Seattle BECAUSE the Mars Volta were announced as headliners. If you haven’t seen them live and are saying they “blow”, you don’t know what you’re talking about. If you HAVE seen them live and are saying they suck, you were deaf and blind at the time, so try it again. For me.
the mars volta are a very talented band. listen to the composure of their works. the mind that creates that has to be genius. their live shows are great, full of energy, and fun to witness. hope you guys enjoy. wish i could attend.
The Mars Volta FUCKING BLOW. I was so excited for this fest until they completely fucked it up by adding these hacks.
Does anyone have an idea as to the headliners for this years fest are?
So your probably having fun at the roo, but DOOM and a couple other acts were added today.
Passion Pit played last year, but it was vip only.
The guy below me is an idiot. Not one of these bands played last year.
/\
That’s the line up from last year with a few more names thrown on.
Thao with The Get Down Stay Down added
Bman — You weren’t “fooled,” nor was it “bad info.” You’re just barely literate.
And this “one band at a time over the course of a few days/weeks” style of announcements is kind of stupid.
Girl Talk, though!
that was last year
That lineup above is a mix of who played last year and the year before. And Monolith have said on their Facebook page that they’re not gonna have people who played LAST year play at this year’s festival.
Starfucker has been officially added
Upon further review… I was fooled.
Based on the MONOLITH myspace page the list of bands mentioned before are, “bands that HAVE PLAYED Monolith”
oops.
Damn, and I was really digging the lineup. Oh well, maybe they can match it with something similar.
Sorry for the bad info.
Looks like a great lineup except it’s all the same bands that were there last year plus some new ones…and it’s not in order…but who knows…
