Josh, is there something you are trying to tell us?
With no NW dates leading into Coachella, I think there should be atleast a reasonable rumor that The Dead Wather will be playing Sasquatch!. They would be a great subheadliner under Soundgarden.
yeah, there is no reason he wouldn’t play…it would just be kind of a let down if he did…i’d be really happy if he opened for a headliner at sunset…..but being that he’s sold like a few million albums and prob costs at least 150k to book him….i just don’t see that happening
Don’t see why Jack Johnson wouldn’t play. Sasquatch has the equally brotastic Ben Harper headlining every other year.
Does anyone have any ideas or information about the following musical groups participating in this year’s festivities:
Yo La Tengo
Spider Bags
Dirty Projectors
Lake
Tiny Vipers
The Drums
The Very Best
Broken Social Scene
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Phosphorescent
Thanks for any help.
everyone’s suggestions are pretty awesome!! Music is music, and sharing it with 1000s of people is pretty awesome, so bring on the rumoured and expected!!
Josh… You are SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOO retarded!
If JackJ plays that will just give me & most everyone else even more reason to head over to the dance tent… Don’t sched boring acts to close the night.. THEM CROOKED freaking VULTURES !!!!!
Doh. Ok, he won’t AGAIN.
Jack Johnson has already played in 2002 so ante up!
Jack Johnson isnt playing. It wont happen and thats a good thing.
err…make that “bet”
I’ll be my left nut Jack Johnson doesn’t play Sasquatch. Ever. Won’t happen.
oops, my bad… the 19th is totally not the day before Squatch! begins. only increases the possibility Broken Social Scene will play, right?
Jonsi’s tour dates:
04/06 - Vancouver, BC @ Vogue Theatre
04/07 - Vancouver, BC @ Vogue Theatre
04/09 - Seattle, WA @ Showbox Sodo
04/10 - Seattle, WA @ Showbox Sodo
04/13 - Portland, OR @ Roseland Theatre
tragic, that would have been cool
No way in hell do the Gorillaz perform here. Its Pavement, Jack Johnson and someone else.
@Jabberwocky “May 19th, the day before Squatch! begins”
wtf are you talking about?
Here’s some more food for thought…
Broken Social Scene drops a new album May 4th, and starts a tour in May with only a few dates announced so far.
http://www.brokensocialscene.ca/
Now, those tour stops are scattered all over the world, and leave BSS in Paris May 19th, the day before Squatch! begins, so it’s a long shot for sure, but BSS has never played Sasquatch!, and there is no doubt in my mind they would KILL on the Gorge Mainstage. Minds would be blown.
Here’s the headliners I’m holding my breath for:
Arcade Fire
Pavement
Gorillaz
And throw in a little
LCD Soundsystem
MGMT
Peter Bjorn & John
Phoenix
BSS
The National
and I would be one happy camper.
Also, please noble Sasquatch, most gentle and majestic of all creatures, please keep Jack Johnson the fuck away, unless you are mauling him and feasting upon his vocal chords. Thanks.
don’t do that to me richard. jack johnson is playing in Australia and Hawaii in April, and Europe in June. I just have to pray he takes May off–or at least doesn’t waste a headliner slot at Sasquatch!
I’ll bet anymone that Headliners are
Saturday: Pavement
Sunday: Beastie Boys
Monday: Jack Johnson
It looks to me that most likely headliners are Soundgarden, Pavement, LCD Soundsystem or Pearl Jam..
2nd Tier - Chromeo, Phoenix, The National, Temple of The Dog, Faith No More..
3rd Tier - Neon Indian, Miike Snow, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Sunny Day Real Estate, Frightened Rabbit, Camera Obscura
Wish List: Lotus, MGMT, Tea Leaf Green, Them Crooked Vultures, Spoon, Black Joe Lewis, Bassnectar…
The fine people over at “QUATCH HEADQUARTERS” have their work cut-out for them if they wish to compete with big brother Coachella..
Sasquatch needs to realize that it doesn’t have to compete with Coachella to be the West Coast Giant.. They have a captive audience of Canadians that come down to The Gorge every year… Many of them won’t spend the extra time and money and head down to Indio..
So I guess what I’m saying is that Sasquatch will always be a mid-major festival with a semi-major lineup.. We can only fit 30,000 in our stupendous amphitheater which means there is no room to grow and pay bigger acts to come thru..
If you want to spend big bucks to see big acts then go to Coachella or Bonnaroo..
If a smaller scale is more your thing head to Wakarusa, Sasquatch or All Good..
Drama queen. Your right we sould ignore you . But like a 2 year old , you cry and wet yourself until you get some attention.
oh dear, what has become of us?
sasquatch rumors dry up and we start taking it out on each other. lets stick together and we will get through this!
you guys are hurting my feelings. Sad Face.
@bobbyrigsretardiano. Your quote,
“And the bands that are presently rumored are doubtfully plausible at best.
CoS does a great job of compiling rumors and confirmation. You shouldn’t be bagging their opinion of what constitutes a rumor since you are pissed that Sasquatch needs more leaks than Coachella. You are offending the powers that be with that comment, and will soon have to change your name to bobbyrigsretardiano to continue posting on this fabulous site.
(insert crack joke of your choosing here).
oh god. morning teleportation blows. what a waste of music instruments.
@bobbyrisigliano Boohoo. You have to wait like the rest of us. They did leak Pavement you know. Miike Snow is awesome. Complaining gets you nowhere except lipped off.
Also, your English is pretty bad, even by Canadian standards.
@Anononymous
Nobody owes me anything. Especially not Sasquatch. I’ve been there the past 5 years and they’ve put on a great festival every year. But as for me and my opinion of me wanting them to drum up some excitment before the actually relese date of the festival lineup. Well I will not back down. Festivals and CoS have consistantly gotten me excited before festivals of leaking some names before the fest, or hints at least. The bands that have already confirmed are 2nd and 3rd tier bands at best. This does not excite me. And the bands that are presently rumoured are doubtfully plausible at best. I can complain if I want. And You don’t have to like it. So I have a great idea for people like you that don’t like me complaining on a Sasquatch internet thread: DONT READ MY POSTS.
line up is out on feb 16 i emailed them about a press pass and i was told that the application for press pass will be available a day or 2 after the feb 16 line up announcement
Hey Bobby, about 2 to 3 months ago Sasquatch said they were releasing the lineup . Feb 16. I really don’t understand why you think they owe you any hints or leaks. They knew that coachella releases there lineup late Jan and Bonnaroo early Feb. They know that the might lose some attendance by waiting, but the have always brought there line up late. It sounds like your blaming sasquatch as the reason your not going to Coachella. If you want to go Coachella then go!!! They have a fantastic line up that is much better than Sasquatch, because they are much bigger. Just stop complaining about it.
@-bobbyrisigliano, yeah but I would like to see them leading in to another band i like. A quality mid-card is far more important to me than headliners.
@shamil
Agreed but they aren’t anything to right home about. Once again. Just another band that won’t play after 3:00pm on any day.
@-bobbyrisigliano, they are not that bad of a band…
@anonymous
No offense on letting everybody know about Miike Snow.
But once again whoop-dee-fucking shit. Another lame ass band.
mike snow confirmed
http://sasquatchmusicfestival.blogspot.com/
@jason lane,
yes i’d really like to see some canadian acts get some exposure. every year i’m surprised there aren’t more. i think plants and animals are a possibility this year (new album in april). i think your joanna newsom suggestion is valid too (havent seen if her tour dates match up though). as for bloc party, i think they are out, as they are currently on haitus. anybody think blakroc are a possibility? mos def’s set went down really well last year.
@Jimmy
Obviously Coachella has released their full lineup, so that blows ‘Quatch out of the water(at the present moment). But the way that i see it, there is way more rumours before hand(lineup announcement) for Coachella than Sasquatch. Yes I can admit that i’m being a little bitch. But as for the Crack…..no thanks. I use to take part in the powdered form, but haven’t since ‘03. So if you’d like to make derogatory drug references towards me, you can maybe say i’m smoking the dank Canuck weed. Or if you’re just up for any insults, I am Canadian! That should provide you with enough fodder.
I’m just really looking for some better rumours. I would like to see some 2nd tier bands to get me interested.
Everyone freaks out because Sasquatch is better at keeping secrets than other fests, mainly because it is lower key than Coachella and Bonnaroo, but still pulls an amazing line up. Last year I think the only bands confirmed at this point were PBJ who ended up canceling and a couple smaller bands. We just need a little nudge to help point us in the right direction for the headliner. Last year someone posted that there were 2 headliners that had previously played (NIN & Harper), a reunion (Jane’s) and n00b (KoL, you can have them this year Bonnaroo). Calm down and don’t expect Coachella at the Gorge.
Glad to see willlllllllllll passed the pipe to bobbyrigsretardiano.
Sasquatch has confirmed five bands, and Coachella has confirmed over 100, so based on the confirmations, you should definitely attend Coachella. Sasquatch’s five bands cannot compete with those 100 Coachella bands, and I hear crack is more prevalent in Indio.
Are you really Josh? (sorry to offend anyone who is actually retarded, or knows someone who is)
No Zack u suck. This festival is in desperate need of some balls. fAITH nO mORE is def what this festival needs this year. Getting kind of bored of sappy indy bands.
Maybe the return of some ‘05 bands…..
A.C. Newman (or full New Pornographers show)
Joanna Newsom
Bloc Party
The Dears
The Frames (with Swell Season)
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Belle & Sebastian. Maybe not as a headliner, but as a strong sub-headliner. They are working on a new album and have mentioned touring in 2010.
http://www.belleandsebastian.com/news.php
OR Canadian possibilities…. The Tragically Hip (who played The Moore last June), Sam Roberts Band, Chad VanGaalen or The Constantines (who played in ‘06 during the hailstorm.

cheers,
Jason
http://www.laner.ca/kelowna-live-music/
like i said jimmy, its a longshot. these guys are from scotland, why wouldnt they stick around for a major festival.
and regardless, there are lots of people not from the northwest that attend this festival.
again, a longshot.
@Jimmy
The “Lay off the Crack” joke was funny the first 5 times. Its kinda getting old now. Albeit, I agree that “frightened rabbit” is a bit of a stretch, willllllllll is trying to drum up somewhat of a discussion, if not a lame one.
As for myself, i’m leaning more and more towards a trip to Coachella. Yes I am being impatient. And as hard as this is for me to say: At least last year, Event organisers gave the fans a band to care about early. Not that i’m a big fan of KOL or anything but at least they weren’t a second tier band at Coachella. I’m looking at you Pavement. Sure Pavements great and all but the fact that I can see them at Coachella and ticket prices aren’t that far apart this year, why should I get excited about Sasquatch. At least Peter Bjorn and John’s name had been released by this time last year(even though they eventually didn’t show).
Morning Teleportation
Neon Indian
Vetiver
Wale
Who gives a rats ass about any of these bands? None of them will play past 3pm on either the Wookie or the Yeti. Seriously, give me a band with some meat before you(Sasquatch) jack up the prices, to full price, or I am definitly going to the better fest. I know all the arguments of why Sasquatch is better than Coachella, but as it stands the crowds last year were comparible.
I’m leaning toward you laying off the crack willllllllllllll. Why would a band playing three shows in the NW in early May be at this festival?
Deer Tick is touring with Dr. Dog and has a big whole after May 15th…possiblity?
haha, weak sauce, nice.
what about frightened rabbit? its a weak rumour for sure. this is their tour schedule:
05-15 Vancouver, British Columbia - Biltmore Cabaret
05-16 Seattle, WA - Neumo’s Crystal Ball Reading Room
05-17 Portland, OR - Berbati’s Pan
05-19 San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore
05-22 San Diego, CA - Casbah
- no more dates after May 22.
i’m leaning towards no, but who knows.
Faith No More sucks and I hope to god they are not at Sasquatch.
No offense to the confirmed artist above, but 19 days before the festival announcement, and these are the artists we have confirmed. Weak Sauce!
Morning Teleportation are playing.
http://www.myspace.com/morningteleportation
Wale is confirmed via Pitchfork (on his scheduled tour)
Pavement Bolw! We want Faith No More. Give Me more rock at Sasquatch. Dance Music? Nope!
Line up out Feb 16
lets just all be happy that Ben Harper isn’t coming back, because he’s doing the Long Weekend in August with DMB! Now if we can officially rule out Jack Johnson i’d be happy.
Yacht is skipping seattle in their spring tour as well….
Cymbals Eat Guitars are touring with Bear in Heaven in March and are noticeably skipping only the seattle date (playing portland and vancouver but taking the day off in between while Bear in Heaven are playing Seattle). It seems likely that this means they are going to play Sasquatch
But Pavement is getting paid big bucks to headline both, where the other little bands don’t even make a quarter of what they are being paid.
Pavement is supposed to play both Primavera and Sasquatch, so it’s not impossible.
Spoon:
Apr 9 2010 @ Moore Theatre in Seattle, Washington
Apr 10 2010 @ Moore Theatre in Seattle, Washington
Wilco:
Feb 9 2010 @ Arlene Schnitzer Hall in Portland, Oregon
Feb 10 2010 @ Paramount Theatre in Seattle, Washington
May 27-29, @ Primavera Sound in Barcelon, Spain
Willllllllllllllllllll:
May 29-31 @ the Gorge in Central Washington, smoking crack.
Spoon and Wilco are at Primavera, which usually would mean they probably wouldn’t play a festival on the other side of the world the same weekend (hell, I wouldn’t, considering how tiring touring must be in addition to being very jetlagged). However, Pavement, are doing it, so I guess anything is possible. I’d personally love it if they were there, but I’m not betting on it.
@omega
yes. that national show was outstanding.
@jimmy
unless you have some reasonable explanations to why spoon or wilco wont be at sasquatch this year, that you would like to share with the class, stop being ignorant.
its called a discussion forum for a reason.
really hope the national make it back. their impromptu set in 2008 was one of the top 3 shows i have ever seen.
yeahhhhhh the national
@-Jabberwocky , I think my mentality behind it is that I would like to end a day with their set…thats all, the main-stage is amazing, dont get me wrong! they just would not be the last to play if they played the main-stage
@shamil
I have to disagree, I think LCD Soundsystem is totally made for the mainstage, which is the greatest place in the world to see a show IMO. especially at sunset, with a cool breeze rolling in off the river… their sound is huge, and would fill up the natural amphitheater quite nicely.
@Andrew
Girl Talk last year turned the Wookie stage - and surrounding area - into a giant dance party (he tends to have that effect wherever he goes), so it’s too bad you thought the show sucked just because the sun was out- the rest of us were enjoying the hell out of it! if music only sounds good in the dark, maybe you should try wearing a couple pairs of sunglasses.
@-bobbyrisigliano, yeah I am not like most of the population of the USA, I actually like to look at maps!
@-Andrew , yeah on the mainstage right before the closer would be cool, but I think a set similar to ghostland in 2008, when the closed out the wookiee on monday, and played really late!
@-Jimmy , whats wrong with a little crack? and I am not denying the fact that they will play the mainstage I am just saying it would be better to see them play on a smaller stage to eliminate, all the people that are just lingering around and unfamiliar with there music, and unwilling to dance cause they are a bunch of pussies!
@shamil
Geography Major. Sweet. I have utmost respect for Americans that know their Canadiana!
I agree with what shamil is trying to get at. Girl Talk blew last year because he was playing a dj set while the sun was out. I would rather see LCD in the dark for that reason. I bet they get the same spot as YYY last year and they’ll get an hour and a half for their set, most of it being in the dark.
There is no way LCD Soundsystem doesn’t play the main stage if they are on the lineup. They would be billed top 10, which means you don’t stick them on a side stage with a 3,000 capacity.
Lay off the crack Shamil.
@-bobbyrisigliano, well I was unaware of your Canadian status, I am sure you could probably catch why? in Minneapolis some time, or if they ever go to Winnipeg. And to answer your question, I am very well versed in global geography, as It is my college major!
@-willlllllllllllllllll, yeah I know LCD soundsystem is a popular band, but the idea of having them play on the main stage, at around seven just kind of sucks. They will play for fifty minutes, the sun will be starting to set. I would way rather see them close out a stage and play at night, either it being the wookie, or if they made a larger dance tent.
@Shamil
I’m one of those crazy Canucks that invades your fest every year. I guess I probably wouldn’t be hardcore enough to travel to Seattle for a WHY? show. Seeing as I live in Winnipeg. Which if you didn’t pay attention in Canadian geography, is right above North Dakota.
Wilco and Spoon are not playing Sasquatch this year. You would have to be smoking crack to think they are.
Lay off the crack willlllll.
shamil,
lcd soundsystem has to be mainstage. last year, girl talk was on the wookie, and it was really overcrowded. considering lcd is bigger, i can see mr.murphy playing around 7pm mainstage.(sadly) i think soundgarden will be the sunday headliner, pavement the monday. all bets are off for the other night though.
wilco, arcade fire, spoon, interpol, she and him - all possibilitites.
@-bobbyrisigliano, why? plays seattle alot, if they are not at sasquatch you will be able to catch them some time, there last few times in seattle have been at the vera project.
@-Jabberwocky, I agree LCD soundsystem is really pretty big and probably would be on the mainstage, but they would probably be a whole lot more fun to see them closing out the wookie stage, or if they made the dance tent larger, closing that out. Basicaly seeing them play at night.
LCD Soundsystem is too big for the Wookie stage, did you see the billing they got at Coachella? Same as those crooked vulture guys. I’d put ‘em on the mainstage at sunset - like TV on the Radio last year. Bring it on, noble Sasquatch!
and Gorillaz please!!
@ Amit
Thank you for introducing me to this band. Even if they somehow don’t make it to Sasquatch. In which case I will curse you until the day I see them live.
I will indeed check them out!!!
look them up. They are fantastic, and put on a great show. I think they would be great for the wookie stage.
Who is Why?
I hope to god 311 isn’t there!
nah man, I think LCD Soundsystem would be on the main stage, or maybe headline the wookie
Saturday: Phoenix/Them Crooked Vultures/Pavement Dance Tent: LCD Soundsystem
Sunday: Vampire Weekend/311/Soundgarden Dance Tent: David Gutta
Monday: De La Soul/Thom York????/Arcade FIre Dance Tent: Chromio
I’d go….just to see thom york at sunset at the george would be enough ….Monday headliner never really has much star power and I can’t see the Flaming Lips coming back again after stopping at marymore last summer, and after making such a big deal about Pavement i don’t think they’d put them in that time slot
Just confirmed on the wow hall website, Why? is indeed in Eugene on May 30th, so they are quite likely
I heard a rumor about Why? playing in Eugene May 30th. Anyone care to confirm this? If it is true, seems like they could be a possibility.
Soundgarden seems fairly likely now
After reviewing Coachella, I don’t know which to tag for possible Sasquatch duty. Jay Z and Muse seem unlikely, but we will probably get a slew of the 2nd-tier bands. The headliners still seem like a major mystery. At this point the last several years, Sasquatch fans at least had some very nearly sure-thing headliners on tap.
I’M STILL GOING WITH PEARL JAM ONE NIGHT…OR…AN EVENING OF SOUNDGARDEN AND FAITH NO MORE!
Now that Coachella is no longer a mystery, can legitimate Sasquatch! rumors pick up? Afterall, the official announcement is four weeks away…
dr. dog is out…they’re in spain on the 29th
bummer
Passion Pit sucked at Monolith last year, the only bigger disappointment was MSTRKRFT canceling
Pixies should be taken off the rumored list as they are staying in Europe after Primavera (playing Belgium, May 31st). Highly unlikely that they’d fly back to the US just to play Sasquatch and then turn around to fly back.
Passion Pit and Cymbals Eat Guitars killed at Monolith this last year. Passion Pit was a little lack luster last year too, so they could redeem themselves!
passion pit wouldn’t be the first to play two years in a row. their set was early in the day on the second stage last year, and people hardly knew who they were then so I could easily see them getting a late set on the second stage this year. and they’d probably kill it.
another band that I want to see with tour dates mysteriously skipping seattle in march is cymbals eat guitars.
@SEATTLE on
source?
Check that. Dr. Dog is a possibility. I gotta stop thinking that May is the 4th month of the year! February is such a shitty little month, that i tend to overlook it.
two years running doesnt seem likely for passion pit. even if they did have a terrible set last year with the p.a troubles. maybe they will make an appearance at that ‘other’ washington state festival?
dr. dog aint happening folks. They’re already in NM by the 29th
Lonely Forest is in
A couple bands that just announced spring tour dates with no Seattle stop:
Dr Dog
Passion Pit
I thought they would be a lock with a new album coming out, but Spoon is playing Seattle (April 9/10). too bad, would have loved to see them at the Squatch, they had to play a short set a couple years ago thanks to bad weather.
Anyone think Daft Punk is a possibility? Would love to see it, but the elusive sasquatch has never booked a headlining techno act. Put LCD Soundsystem on the same day and my head just might explode.
Can I order some Thao with the get down stay down, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Yacht? That’s it for now. I will be back to order more!!!
Minus Pavement and Pixies, these rumors are coming slow and dull
I’ve got my fingers crossed for The Flaming Lips coming back. They’re play Sasquatch pretty frequently and weren’t there last year. Plus they have yet to tour their new album.
I can see him headlining the dance tent.
Also, Flying Lotus is releasing his new album April 20th
Vetiver is in: http://www.subpop.com/tours/vetiver.
Josh,
Do you have one eye?
Slackjaw, are you actually Josh?
slackjaw, those tobacco dates are for march, so I don’t think we can really guarantee anything about tobacco or BMSR. I wouldn’t mind if they played again though, I skipped bmsr last year to catch Grizzly Bear and am kind of regretting it.
I’ll go ahead and bet the farm now on a return of BMSR and Tobacco on the 29th as Tobacco has dates for the 28th in Oregon and the 30th in Seattle.
Nevermind, I see the end of their tour comes May 29th. So they look like a Monday lock in about the 7:15pm spot Main Stage.
Where did this Nada Surf rumour come from?
Anyone think Soundgarden might headline one night?
willl, it’s still not the reason they skipped this fesival.
with the soundgarden reunion happening you need to consider them completely plausible if not highly likely
wow Josh I guess you really are a retard.
Josh… That’s retarded.
Hey guys. To answer your question, yes and no. Technically, I am not a retard, but I have been diagnosed with a condition called Intertexti Trisomy. It means that while I appear to be normal in real life, I come off as a retard online.
how the hell did pavement get the headlining slot!? Alt rock pioneers? They have no more cred than Built to Spill or Dinosaur Jr, neither of those bands would be suitable for a headlining slot so why Pavement?
Josh,
Question: Are you retarded?
Lay off the crack willlllll.
on crack freebaser????
here’s one reason:
http://consequenceofsound.net/2009/02/10/sasquatch-officially-unveils-2009-dates-and-some-other-important-stuff/
here ill save you the trouble and highlight something from the article:
“As for some early lineup scuttle, if you head over to our Sasquatch! Outlook page, you’ll notice that Kings of Leon, Peter Bjorn & John, The Avett Brothers, Sun Kill Moon, and comedian Todd Barry are confirmed”
By Alex Young on February 10th, 2009
regardless, declaring im on crack for trying to get some debate on line-up possibilities is a little silly.
willlllllllllllllllll is on crack.
peter bjorn and john didn’t start playing dates with depeche mode until late july so i doubt that any any reason for them not playing.
they played coachella in april then hit north america, with that tour ending in mid may.
then a few weeks off until they hit europe.
rumor mill for this shindig isnt really putting in the hours.
how about this:
- mgmt (asked to play last year, declined in favour of working on new album)
- peter, bjorn & john (first ‘confirmed act’ last year, pulled out in favour of opening for depeche modes world tour. they ‘owe’ sasquatch.
- arcade fire to headline (brought down the house at their last gorge appearance, new album due out in the spring, are currently weighing up festival appearances for summer 2010).
Josh, please stop being a retard.
Yeah Josh. Stop acting like a retard.
Josh, quit being a retard. There are only two confirmed bands so far, and neither is Muse or Jack Johnson. It is a bit early to be changing plans.
Muse? Jack Johnson? Ugh… spare me. Pretty neutral on the listed supporting acts, too. Might not make it a 3rd year in a row after all
Neeeeeeeed Phoenix this year! Crossin my flanges!
Anonymous, the Phoenix tour dates go only as far as March, where is it confirmed that they will be in Europe during Sasquatch?
Phoenix is out. They are touring europe at the time. I guess that “confirmed” lineup is garbage.
Vampire Weekend and the Killers confirmed.
Beatles confirmed!
See cobra i can do it too!
We need sources before we believe
Cobra, I want this to be true as much as anyone, but do you have a source for this?
LCD Soundsystem is confirmed
That “confirmed” lineup came from the Sasquatch boards, and I have to respectfully ask the poster to “please keep that Coachella shit out of here.”
I guess the festival is giving away a signed Pixies poster on their website. I don’t know if that’s saying much but it may be enough to put them down as a rumor.
Personally I’m not sure them and Pavement headlining separate nights makes for a very strong line-up (though great and the mid-tier bands could be excellent).
I have to say I am drawn to the “confirmed” lineup. All the acts listed are reasonable and within the budget and flavor of Sasquatch. None of them seem far fetched or out of line. I may be proven wrong down the road, but for now (and in the spirt of the holidays) I am just going to say that I believe.
you can probably add ‘the pixies’ to the rumored list.
sasquatch is running a competition on their website right now, one of the prizes being a glow in the dark pixies poster.
Where did this so called “confirmed” line-up come from?
Really Jack Johnson back on the festival circuit? sweet.
Neon Indian confirmed via his agency: http://www.windishagency.com/artists/neon_indian
That confirmed line-up is pretty interesting.
Pavement, Muse, Jack Johnson, Massive Attack, The Shins, Air, Phoenix, Metric, Feist, Hot Chip, BRMC, Ben Gibbard, Thao with the Get Down Stay Down, Chromeo, Ramona Falls, Glass Candy, The Cribs, Blonde Redhead, Dirty Projectors
Fuck yeah Pavement. Sasquatch on top in 2010.
Last year during their DJ set Chromeo claimed that the “will be back next year.” I think thats a good rumor to start with.
