In the first example of what should be a bounty of unreleased songs and demos that will begin trickling out in the coming months, TMZ have released a clip of a ‘new’ Michael Jackson song, titled “A Place With No Name”. The selection is, in fact, a loose cover version of 1970′s band America’s “A Horse With No Name”.

Several years ago, America’s manager gave Jackson permission to record a version of the number one song, which judging by Jackson’s voice has the deeper tones and the backing choir suggests that this may have been recorded in the Invincible era- 2001.

“The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael’s fans to hear,” said Jim Morey, the band’s manager.

Head over to TMZ to hear a short snippet.
