This week brings lineup announcements for a number of European festivals, including Rock Werchter, Benicàssim Festival, Field Day, Hultsfred Festival, OFF Festival, and Sziget Festival. Across the Atlantic, Summer Camp, Treefort Music Festival, Mayhem Festival, Orange You Glad Festival, and Mission Creek Festival also added to their respective 2012 bills.

<p><a href="http://consequenceofsound.net/tag/the-cure/" target="_blank">The Cure</a> have confirmed headlining appearances at three European summer music festivals, marking their first scheduled performances in 2012. According to the band&#8217;s <a href="http://www.thecure.com/blog/default.aspx?nid=37683" target="_blank">website</a>, Robert Smith and co. will appear at Sweden&#8217;s <a href="http://festival-outlook.consequenceofsound.net/fests/view/780/hultsfred-festival" target="_blank">Hultsfred Festival </a>and Germany&#8217;s <a href="http://festival-outlook.consequenceofsound.net/fests/view/774/hurricane-southside-festivals" target="_blank">Hurricane and Southside Festivals</a> in June. Additional European festival appearances will be announced in the near future.</p>
<p>The Cure last performed live in November when they relived their first three albums during a series of concerts in New York, Los Angeles, and London.
