For one, joining the previously announced Pavement as the 2010 headliners will be My Morning Jacket and Massive Attack, both of which will likely be making their 2010 summer festival debut at Sasquatch. Other heavyweights confirmed to take part include Ween, Vampire Weekend, LCD Soundsystem, Band of Horses, The National, Public Enemy, Kid Cudi, and Passion Pit.

The trek kicks off beginning February 12th in Northampton, MA and currently spans over two months before wrapping up on April 6th in Salt Lake City, UT. We say currently because with dates scheduled basically everywhere expect the Los Angeles area, it looks like an appearance at a little event that takes place in the area around the same time could also be in the works. First and foremost, the twin duo has mapped out a month long Canadian tour — Yes, Canada, you’re getting the love this time! — to begin at the start of the New Year. The trek, which will follow a pair of previously reported warm up shows in Los Angeles and New York, a November 2nd appearance on Conan O’Brien, and a European tour with CoS favorite Astronautalis, will featuring the supporting talents of An Horse. Tickets for the dates will go on sale beginning today via Ticketmaster.com.

A yet-to-be-announced U.S. leg of dates will follow in February.

As if all that wasn’t exciting enough, Tegan & Sara have also announced plans for the release of a three book set written… by… them. The books, titled On, In, At, are said to chronicle different time periods from the past year of the band members’ lives: the 2008 US national tour, the 2009 Australian tour, and a joint writing session in New Orleans for the new album.
