Kate Nash is apparently working on the followup to last year’s Made of Bricks, and thanks to boyfriend/Cribs frontman Ryan Jarman, the English native’s second full-length album will have a different sound.

You wouldn’t think an English folk legend and a smart-mouthed pop princess would make a good musical collaboration. But last weekend, Billy Bragg and Kate Nash made it look easy at the 2008 Shockwaves NME Awards.

South By Southwest has released it schedule for the music portion of this year’s conference. SXSW takes place between March 7-16, 2008 in Austin, Texas. The official artist list also now has bios and mp3s.

This week’s late night musical performances have already been quite eventful. Kate Nash was on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night, where she performed “Foundations”.
