This is one of the several times that I’ve realized Phish is actually a band worth paying attention to. A tip of the hat for filling out the whole song without the help of ringers (The Roots or, I dunno, Chuck Leavell).

Rolling Stones Week on Fallon turned out to be fantastic, and much to the chagrin’ of my jaded, judgmental mind, all the guests did an amazing job. Even Keith Urban managed not to totally fuck up “Tumbling Dice” (‘course, again, having Chuck Leavell playing keys for you never hurts.)

Speaking of street fighting men, Keith Richards also showed up for a surprise visit last night on Fallon. And tomorrow, catch the new documentary Stones In Exile to be shown with limited commercial interruption. Stones week: Get your rocks off before you start dreaming.

After months and months of debates, commercials, and SNL impressions America will finally decide its new President. With that being said there will be no late night on Tuesday, as all shows have been pre-empted for the election.

However, Conan is stacked this week, even finding time to fit in a rare live performance from Lordi, which should be very entertaining. Make sure to catch Chromeo, as well, though other notable performances include Elvis Costello on Dave and Eagles of Death Metal on Jimmy. Sadly, nothing to report for Craig and Carson this week.

I leave you with some words of advice: GO VOTE! There will never be a more important election in your lifetime than the one taking place Tuesday. (Editor’s Note: Let’s not get too dramatic here, Blaine!)

Given there is no competition this week, it should be easy to decide which show to watch. By the way, did anyone catch Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds last Friday on Conan? Amazing performance from one of the most underrated musicians of our time.

Oh, and be sure to check out the World Series Playoffs, as they’re in full force. Just be sure you can still slip in some late night entertainment.
