Minneapolis outfit gets its complete discography relived.

The title might be wordy, but it truly says it all. On December 1st, The Orchard will digitally reissue the entire catalog of Lifter Puller, the Minneapolis outfit that featured now Hold Steady members Craig Finn and Tad Kubler.

As the story goes, Lifter Puller formed in 1994 and would release three full-length efforts and an EP before calling it quits in 2000. And while The Hold Steady were formed shortly thereafter, the band’s discography would go on to earn a cult following, which would be realized by a sold-out three-night reunion at Minneapolis’ Triple Rock Social Club in 2003.

Fast forward six years and the band is again ready to relive its legacy. As Pitchfork reports, the December 1st release date first time the band’s music has been available digitally and, perhaps appropriately, will see the reissues accompanied by a bunch of goodies.

1997′s Half Dead and Dynamite, 1998′s The Entertainment and Arts EP, and 2000′s Fiestas & Fiascos will all be available with bonus live tracks, while The Orchard will also release a compilation of 17 singles and odds-and-ends set, titled Slip Backwards. The band’s 1997 self-titled debut won’t get an bonus treatment, but, at this point, asking for anything more would be a much.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Pitchfork also reports that Finn, alongside author Jessica Hoppe, will release a a Lifter Puller-themed book in December. It’s titled Lifter Puller Vs. the End Of and will include pictures, lyrics, interviews, and testimonials.

Find all the tracklists as well as a preview of one of those bonus tracks below.

As for what’s going on in the world of The Hold Steady these days? Well, aside from multi-instrumentalist Franz Nicolay going solo and Finn writing a movie, Kubler recently recently customized its own “mixtape” t-shirt to auction off for charity.
