Before you get your hopes up, however, do know that Simon and Latifah’s presence on the tour will be limited; Simon’s just signed on for shows at Boston, Hartford and New York, while Latifah will perform in Detroit and Las Vegas. Even still, Lilith co-founders Terry McBride and Marty Diamond are happy to have both icons on board, citing Simon as the performer who “embodies the entire spirit of Lilith”, while Latifah’s performances at the original Lilith Fair “are still some of the most memorable”.

Simon and Latifah join a Lilith Fair bill that already includes the likes of Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Norah Jones, Metric, Cat Power, Tegan and Sara, Miranda Lambert, Go-Go’s, Corinne Bailey Rae, Suzanne Vega, and the aforementioned Rihanna, as well a whole bunch of others. Basically, if you’re not performing on this thing, you must be on someone’s shit list.
