Australia seems to be a pretty kick ass country. Tim Fite and Mates of State surely are some pretty kick ass artists. So, color us excited when presented with the prospect of getting of an album that combines our friends down under with the aforementioned artists, and send your thank you letters to The Grates [...]

Now here’s something you don’t see everyday: an album dedicated to Peter Pan. But on February 3rd, Benjy Ferree will release just that with Come Back To The Five and Dime, Bobby Dee Bobby Dee, the Washington D.C. based singer/songwriter’s sophomore studio album, on Domino Records.
Described as a “musical eulogy to a forgotten child star [...]

There’s no musician who seems to love Halloween more than Tim Fite. The eccentric New Yorker, who has spent the year teaching us what’s Fair and captivating audiences with his one-of-a-kind live performance, is again ready to please our taste buds with another tasty treat. As has become tradition over the last few Halloweens, Fite [...]

As tired as the the four-piece outfit appears to be, Philadelphia’s greatest thing since slice bread, aka Man Man, is show no signs of slowing down. After capturing the ears of festival goers this past weekend at Austin City Limits, the band will now set its sights on a month long North American tour in [...]

Tim Fite reaffirmed three things during his performance last night at Washington, DC’s Rock ‘n Roll Hotel. I am not at all ashamed to express my affinity for one Mr. Tim Fite. Since seeing him open last for Ben Kweller last August at the University of Virginia, I have been mesmerized by the Brooklyn oddball’s eccentric hodgepodge of sounds, ranging from banjo to wind chime, that somehow collectively come together to form [...]

Jamie Lidell and Tim Fite are probably two of the strangest men in the music industry. But they are also two of the most talented. Perhaps fittingly, both gave the internet a taste of some new music today.
Liddell, whose new album Jim is set for release on April 29, has given us a preview of [...]

The world’s most eccentric musician Tim Fite has a pretty big 2008 lined up already. He has announced to Brooklyn Vegan that he will release a new album via ANTI- records. No word on whether it will be free like a lot of Fite’s recent releases.
Currently, the Brooklynite/gentleman with itchy legs has just one show [...]
I agree. Parachutes and X&Y were the best albums. Not a huge fan of the Viva La Vida album...
