Let’s face it, Of Montreal doesn’t like to take breaks; since the release of Skeletal Lamping last October, Kevin Barnes and Co. have essentially been going nonstop, dabbling their time in every time from touring and the release of a new EP to “busking” and dare I say, work on another new LP. And when Of Montreal do take breaks, well, they’re not really a break at all.

Following its sold-out mini-residency at New York’s Music Hall of Williamsburg last week, the band ventured up to the Bronx where it took to WFUV’s Alternative side for some in-studio performing. Among the selections performed? A brand new, yet-to-be released song called “Croquet, Croquet”, along with a cover of The Beatles’ “I’m So Tired”. Both selections are rather subdued for Of Montreal’s taste, but certainly have their moments. Plus, the piano on each is a welcome addition.

Check out “Croquet, Croquet” at TheAlternateSide.org and “I’m So Tired” below. Tour dates after that.
