on March 15, 2017, 12:00pm

Welcome to the latest edition of Masterpiece Reviews. Once again, we’ve thrown on our favorite velvet robe, turned up the fire, and are here to regale you with stories of the greatest and most classic albums of all time. It’s a fresh, new perspective on why these albums are filed under “M” for masterpiece.

Homogenic, which was released in 1997, would become the album that would raise Björk from a novelty act to acclaimed musician. Filled with sweeping string arrangements, electronic beats, and singles including “Alarm Call”, “5 Years”, and “Jóga”, it’s been praised as one of the most exciting and influential alternative albums ever made.
