“The Making of a Tribute Band”

on January 13, 2014, 8:15pm

Ah, the tribute band: when fans no longer find mere hero worship to be enough, they take the stage themselves in celebration of their favorite acts. While many artists spend their careers playing dive bars and Bar Mitzvahs, others, including the Australian Pink Floyd Show and Live Wire, go on to have prosperous careers in their own right. So, if you’re looking to pay homage with your Kajagoogoo cover band (Kaja-deux-goo, maybe?), today’s Rock it Out! Blog will be your guide to rock stardom.

Turning to one of the lucky few to find success in the market, Sami sits down with Chicago’s Led Zeppelin 2, where they discuss how they got their start, the process for starting your own tribute band, and whether or not they get groupies.
