Just because you live in a city of no more than 100,000, doesn’t mean you can’t have your own university, professional football team, or even…music festival. After all, take lovely Green Bay, Wisconsin for example. Betwen the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, the Packers, and the newly unveiled OKOBOS Music Festival, the cheese town certainly offers its fair share of activities.
Don’t believe us? With OKOBOS set to go down in one week’s time, there is no better time than now to give Green Bay a try. And of course, Consequence of Sound is here to make this opportunity a reality.
On Saturday, October 11th, Okobos footwear will launch the first annual Okobos Music Festival at at the Resch Center in downtown Green Bay. Headed by Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals and Death Cab for Cutie and featuring the likes of fellow indie favorites such as Ben Folds, Ingrid Michaelson, M. Ward, and Jewel, the event promises to offer a pretty overwhelming awesome day of music. Add in the fact that 100% of proceeds go to the fight against international poverty, and well, its a win, win situation.
Oh yeah, and did we mention that CoS has a pair of passes to give a way to one of our lucky readers? Can this day get any better?
If interested, shoot us an email with your name and address. One random winner will be selected at random on Tuesday, October 7th. If you don’t hear from us by then, you probably didn’t win, meaning its up to the old fasion method to gain admittance.
