Grampall Jookabox now just Jookabox

on April 10, 2009, 12:30pm

The last 12 months have been solid for David “Moose” Adamson, the creative force behind Grampall Jookabox. He offered up a brand new studio album, Ropechain, unveiled his very own video game, and even earned our seal of approval. So, it comes as a bit of surpirse to hear that Adamson has decided to drop the “Grampall” part of his name and go simply by Jookabox. After all, the editing alone is enough to make one’s head spin – I’m still not sure if we’re supposed to refer to Santogold’s debut effort as Santigold or Santogold. Then again, considering the musician at question – Adamson gives Tim Fite a run for his money when it comes to musical eccentricism – the news does make a little sense.

That being said, may I introduce you to Jookabox.

To celebrate the name change, Jookabox will be teaming up with Dosh on May 19th for volume five of Asthmatic Kitty’s Unusual Animals seven-inch series.
