Check Out: Simian Mobile Disco teases again with “Audacity of Huge”

on May 28, 2009, 12:45pm

London’s zany electro remix duo Simian Mobile Disco has recently been front lining some teaser tracks from its upcoming sophomore album, Temporary Pleasure, which will hit stores this summer on August 17th. Now, the third track to be unveiled on the net (following “Synthesize” and “10,000 Horses Can’t Be Wrong”) is nothing but the long-awaited “Audacity of Huge” featuring vocals from none other than Yeasayer’s Chris Keating.

Of the three tracks given so far, it’s no mistake that “Audacity of Huge” is the hottest, lickity-split dance track of them all. Both funky fresh and reminiscent of German electro-pop, “Audacity of Huge” brings forth a rampaging raucous mixture of Keating’s heat-pounding vocals, a skedaddling beat and hopelessly catchy non sequiturs. Trust me, you’ll be hooked from the moment you hear Keating talk-rap, “I got that grape filled swimming pool…I got that Bob Faucet, I got that Joey Ramone, a bag of Bill Murray, c’mon”.

Currently, the song is available for streaming off the band’s website, though, unfortunately, in a not so obvious spot you’ll most likely have to squint to see, but it’s more than worth it. Oh and don’t forget, the much anticipated Temporary Pleasure will also feature the likes of Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, Gossip’s Beth Ditto and Jamie Lidell. So be on the look out for more stunning interpretations of Simian Mobile Disco’s sensational dancehouse fun!
