on July 02, 2009, 1:58pm

Here’s some things to know about October 31, 2009: This day will again serve as the date of Halloween. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year. Among the events taking place during on this evening, besides trick-or-treating of course, will be a one-off performance by Grizzly Bear at the Barbican Centre in London, England. This particular performance will reportedly feature the Brooklyn outfit teaming up with the London Symphony Orchestra. Nico Muhly, the American classical composer who collaborated with the band Veckatimest, may also be taking part (via Drowned in Sound).

So, to summarize, Grizzly Bear is playing a one-off with one of the most well-known orchestras in the world and a renowned composer (maybe?) in London on Halloween fucking night!
