Bon Jovi announces two-year world tour

With one legendary New Jersey outfit starting to wind it down, perhaps it’s only appropriate that another is getting reading for a promotional push that includes the release of a brand new studio album and two-year world tour.

In support of the November 10th release of The Circle, Bon Jovi has unveiled plans for “The Circle World Tour,” a a two year global venture that will include 135 shows in 30 countries before wrapping up in 2011. Among particular highlights will the be two inaugural events at the soon-too-be-completed stadium New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey on May 26 and 27 as well as a June 2010 residency at London’s O2 Arena. An appearance at next year’s Glastonbury Music Festival is also rumored.

AEG Live, which worked with Bon Jovi on its last two tours, will once again serve as worldwide tour promoters for “The Circle World Tour.” Tickets for the dates at the New Meadowlands Stadium will go on sale beginning Saturday, October 31 at 10:00 a.m. EST (Pre-sale on Mon., Oct. 26) via Ticketmaster.com. Ticket information for the other dates has not yet been released.
