A few weeks back, we got word, via Alison Mosshart’s comments in an interview with the BBC, that The Dead Weather had already begun planning the followup to the band’s recently released debut LP, Horehound. Today, compliments of another BBC interview between the Dead Weather frontlady and the BBC, there are a few more details available concerning that album.
According to Mosshart, the yet-to-be-titled effort will likely come out before this year’s out and will be a self-produced and self-recorded affair; they’ll be returning to Jack White’s Third Man studios following their remaining European tour dates.
In the meantime, there’s a new live EP to hold you over.
