It’s been a few years since we heard anything new from Damon Gough, aka Badly Drawn Boy. That will change, however, on December 14th when the English based, Mercury Prize-winning singer/songwriter will unveil his latest project, a soundtrack forthcoming U.K. TV film The Fattest Man In Britain.

Details remain a bit sketchy after that (via NME), but a quick Google search tells us that the film is a one-off comedy drama written by Caroline Aherne and starring Timothy Spall as an obese character with a dilemma. You might know the latter of the two as Peter Pettigrew from the Harry Potter movies…

Badly Drawn Boy’s last full-length came in the form of 2006’s Born In The UK. He has also crafted one previous soundtrack to date — In 2002 Badly Drawn Boy released the soundtrack to About a Boy, the Hugh Grant-starring film portrayal of Nick Hornby’s 1998 novel.
