Morrissey cancels show after being hit on head

on November 08, 2009, 11:02am

Fresh off a stage collapse that led to the cancellation of several shows, Morrissey made another early exit last night (Nov. 7) after a fan threw a drink at his head. The incident occurred during Moz’s second song of the evening, “Black Cloud”, and saw the singer simply say “goodbye” before exciting the stage. According to NME, the show was stopped for around 15 before a member of the crew announced that the singer had been hit on the head by a bottle and the concert would not continue. The audience were told they would receive a full refund.

The Music Slut has posted video of the incident online, so if you’re looking to put moving images behind the above description, check it out below.

As of now, Morrissey is scheduled to continue his currently ongoing world tour on Monday, November 9th in Nijmegen.
