Tom Waits’ Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards gets reissued

on November 16, 2009, 2:29pm

Back in November of 2006, Tom Waits released a three-disc compilation of new and rare songs. Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards was its name and, like most other stuff offered by the legendary singer/songwriter, the effort proved to be quite the masterpiece.

Just three years later, ANTI- Records has decided to reissue the record as a limited edition vinyl. Due out on December 8th, the reinvented set will include a deluxe 12? booklet and six new bonus cuts, bringing the total number of tracks to 62.

This reissue will of course come only two weeks after Waits shares another new release, a two-disc live album titled Glitter and Doom. Plus, on Christmas Day, Waits hits the big screen alongside Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and the late Heath Ledger in Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. A Waits-filled Christmas to say the least.
