As it turns out, Jeff Beck won’t be the only high-profile rocker Eric Clapton will be hitting the road with next year. Just days after wrapping up a four-night North American swing with Beck, the former Yardbirds/Cream guitarist will join The Who’s Roger Daltrey for two weeks worth of dates beginning February 25th in Pittsburgh. Performances throughout the mid-Western and Southern portions of the U.S. follow before the legendary musicians wrap things up on on March 13th in Orlando.
Backing Clapton on stage will be drummer Steve Gadd, bassist Willie Weeks, keyboardists Chris Stainton and Walt Richmond, and background vocalists Michelle John, and Sharon White. Daltrey will open the show each night, but we’re guessing he’ll also find his way on to stage to aid Clapton for at least a few songs.
Tickets go on sale beginning Friday, December 11th via Ticketmaster.com. Why wouldn’t you want them?
