The Clientele plots North American tour for 2010

on December 21, 2009, 4:00pm

Indie pop group The Clientele is preparing to hit the road in North America early next year in support of its most recent release, Bonfires on the Heath. You might want to think twice before missing out though. This may be one of group’s last activities together.

In an interview with Pitchfork, lead singer Alasdair MacLean expressed doubts over the band’s future, saying “If you don’t have any more ideas you should just go away, I guess. But I don’t want to announce that the Clientele is breaking up. It’s always up in the air, you constantly have to rethink what you’re doing and wonder whether it’s courageous enough.”

The Clientele’s tour will start and end on the Eastern Seaboard over the course of February and March. They’ll kick things off on February 21st in Hoboken, NJ, then swing south and westward before heading back east to finish the tour in New York on March 23rd. Vetiver will be opening for the first nine dates of the tour.

Tickets can be found via Ticketmaster.com.
