Flying Lotus is no stranger to plowing through efforts and tossing them out like free candy. But the next few releases are going to be particularly tasty as the Los Angeles DJ prepares three wonderful releases.
Per Pitchfork, the most exciting release of the trio will be none other than his new album, Cosmogramma, which is the followup to 2008’s Los Angeles. Details are a little minimal at this point, but it will be out on April 20th (we’ll avoid any humorous references to said date.)
But the projects we do know more about are almost just as exciting. First, there’s a greatest hits mix, aptly titled “A Decade of Flying Lotus”, which features “tracks that I know yall haven’t heard yet” and spans the DJ’s entire career. You can check that out below. Flying Lotus will also contribute the first installment to a 10″ series called The Do-Over split EP. For you L.A. residents and other party animals, the EP is designed to be a celebration of the legendary City of Angels party. FlyLo shares the vinyl with Detroit producer House Shoes. More info on that here.
We’ll post additional details on Cosmogramma when we get them. In the meantime, as promised, enjoy “A Decade In Flying Lotus”.
