The Tallest Man On Earth is on a Wild Hunt this April

on January 29, 2010, 12:00pm

The Tallest Man On Earth (aka Kristian Matsson) has had a pretty good couple of years. He released his first album, Shallow Grave, to critical acclaim in 2008 and followed it up with a supporting gig for Bon Iver. Now, the folk singer is gearing up for the release of his second record, The WIld Hunt, on April 13th.

Consisting of 10 tracks, the album seems to be filled with the same raw emotion and acoustic setting that made his first a success. What’s more, instead of being limited to the Scandinavian record label Gravitation, Matsson has signed with Dead Oceans, which should ensure a larger release for The Wild Hunt.

If you can’t wait until April, check out the first single, “King of Spain,” which can be downloaded for free, here. Or, you could check him out at any of his upcoming tour dates… though you’ll have to travel to Europe for that.
