Kings of Convenience reschedule North American tour for June

on February 18, 2010, 11:30am

Like us mere mortals, rock stars get sick. Such was the case when Kings of Convenience‘s Eirik Glambek Bøe came down with a case of the flu and had to postpone the band’s first North American trip in five years. But unlike us Average Joes, KoC do their best to keep their promises. So, those eagerly awaiting some Norwegian folk-pop only have to wait four extra months for the boys to once again sweep the States.

And by sweep the States we really mean play eight shows throughout the East Coast, Canada and Chicago. The tour kicks off June 1st in Philadelphia, PA and winds down on June 10th in the Windy City. If you’ve already purchased your tickets, fret not as those will be honored. Plus, in a further attempt to make amends, ticket-holders can download the exclusive track “Love is No Big Truth” from their local promoter. That’s right, you can get your hands on said track before it’s available February 23rd on their iTunes exclusive EP Live Acoustic Sessions: Milan.

Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster.com.
