Vocalist and songwriter Sia has managed to become Miss Popular since her 2008 release Some People Have Real Problems. While continuing work on its follow-up, the 34-year-old Australian pop singer has performed on nearly every late-night show, collaborated with David Byrne and Fatboy Slim on their upcoming release, Here Lies Love, written songs for the Christina Aguilera forthcoming release, Bionic, and, as we recently discovered, has planned to tour with the Lilith Fair later this year.
Sia’s fifth studio effort, We are Born, is set for an April release and will be accompanied by a two-month tour. Spanning North America and Europe, the tour will commence April 10th in Vancouver, make stops in 29 cities, and conclude May 27th in London. She will zig-zag through North America, making stops in Seattle, Portland, Coachella, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, DC, and New York amongst others. The complete list of tour dates is below.
Tickets go on sale to the public February 5th, but followers of Sia’s Twitter can get access to an exclusive pre-sale on February 3rd. For access, follow the page between now and Wednesday, and look for the special password that will be required. While attempting to find the password, take a listen to the new album’s first release, “You’ve Changed”, which happens to be produced by Grammy-nominated producer Greg Kurstin.
