Just in time for Memorial Day festivities, English New Wave band The Psychedelic Furs return to America for a 25-date club tour. Following last year’s U.S. tour with Happy Mondays, the Furs will be on the road from late May to early July.
Co-founders Richard and Tim Butler will start off the trek on May 27th in Orlando before moving their way up the East Coast. After a stop in Toronto, the band will make its way towards the Pacific and finish up by looping back for three dates in Texas. The last show is scheduled for July 2nd in Houston. While two of the three co-founders are still around, there’s no word on whether John Ashton will make an appearance.
For those of you wondering if this touring is a build-up to the first new Furs album since 1991’s World Outside, your guess is as good as ours. The band has no official website to speak of, making information severely limited.
Still, we do know tickets for the upcoming dates will be available starting Saturday, March 27th via Ticketmaster.com.
