Bruce Springsteen & Jon Stewart head benefit concert

on April 23, 2010, 1:45pm

Here’s how to throw a successful benefit concert: Take one Bruce Springsteen acoustic performance and one Jon Stewart comedic performance. Team them up with superstar actors Matt Damon and Robert DeNiro. Then, bring everyone to the Nokia Theatre in Times Square New York. Simple, right?

Well, that was the game plan for the organizers behind the Gateway’s Gala Benefit Concert. Set to take place on May 22nd, the concert will seek to benefit the Gateway Schools by offering an evening that includes performances by The Boss and the Daily Show host. Damon, DeNiro, and their respective wives will be serving as the evening’s hosts. Yummy food will also be provided.

The concert is a private sale-only event for Gateway families and friends, and will cost everyone a pretty penny. For more information, visit the event’s website.
