Roger Waters reveals “The Wall Live” stage show details

on April 19, 2010, 3:30pm

As we told you last week, Roger Waters, chief lyricist for Pink Floyd, is taking The Wall, one of the band’s landmark efforts and the album that is mostly Waters’ baby (in fact, guitarist David Gilmour called the 1979 album “a catalog of people Roger blames for his own failings in life”) out on the road. And while we’ve given you a lot of info, seeing is believing, and now, courtesy of Antiquiet.com, we can take a look at the tour’s teaser trailer.

Expect the same kind of surrealism with an underlining message as Waters takes the album out for a total of 50 dates (Around 15 have yet to be announced). And just like the visual representation, Waters has promised an updated version of the original stage show. The centerpiece of the stage show will be a 240-foot-wide by 35-foot wall between the audience and the stage itself that is slowly knocked down as the concert progresses.  The stage show is a chance to tell another side of the epic story involing Pink, or As Waters commented, “I want to try to make a new performance of this piece.”

Enjoy the trailer below. Also, don’t forget tickets go on sale May 10th at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com. You can also try to get in on a pre-sale lottery starting right now.
