Stream: Bonnaroo 2010

on June 10, 2010, 12:25pm

So say you’re like me and chose — because Dave Matthews and Kings of Leon don’t necessarily warrant an 18 hour drive — to skip this year’s Bonnaroo Music Festival. (Don’t worry there’s still plenty of other CoS Staffers on the ground covering the festival this weekend.) And then say you’re like me and currently dreading the unlikely but still realistic possibility that Jack White and Jay-Z… or Jack White and Conan will collaborate onstage together this weekend, or, upon reading all your friends’ Tweets and realizing that all of them are going to Bonnaroo right now while you’re sitting in front of a laptop all day and then it hits you that there’s nothing else in the world like Bonnaroo so why the hell did you choose to skip it even if you have no desire to see Dave or KoL, do not fret, my friend, you’re in luck. (Sorry about the rant… couldn’t help myself).

As previously reported, Bonnaroo will be broadcasting a number of this weekend’s performances on NPR radio. It turns out that the Manchester, Tennessee based festival will also be webcasting these performances as well. Starting tomorrow, June 11th, YouTube will host streams of a number of Bonnaroo sets, including Jay-Z, The National, Tenacious D, The Dead Weather, LCD Soundsystem, The Gaslight Anthem, Regina Spektor, Weezer, The Avett Brothers and yes, even Dave Matthews Band and Kings of Leon. So, while it might not be the same as watching Hova while drinking 2 for $2 Red Bull and Vodkas under the cool Manchester sky as some dude sitting next to you frantically runs around the field searching for eggs he dropped even though no such eggs are present, hey, it’s better than nothing.

Below, we’ve provided the schedule of the YouTube webcast. To watch all the festivities, just click here.
