The National teams up with Owen Pallett for fall tour

on June 01, 2010, 1:03pm

Ok, so it might not be on the Arcade Fire and Spoon level, but it’s still pretty damn good.

As if it doesn’t have enough upcoming tour dates with equally awesome openers (The Antlers, Beach House, etc.), The National will team up with Arcade Fire collaborator and solo extraordinaire Owen Pallett this fall for yet another leg of U.S. tour dates. This particular trek, which kicks off on September 24th in Montclair, New Jersey, will see the two acts playing in areas often left out of the normal touring route — Orlando, Indianapolis, Raleigh, and Tempe are among the cities getting some love. Basically, Florida, you now have no room to complain.

The National will of course be touring in support of its chart topping fifth studio album High Violet, while Owen Pallett will be playing behind the masterful Heartland. So, at the very least, you’ll have a chance to check out two album of the year candidates from a live perspective.

Tickets go on sale starting Friday, June 4th via Ticketmaster.com.
