on July 29, 2010, 2:46pm

When the member of a backing band leaves the warm glow of their established act, they can often get lost in the star’s gargantuan shadow. But former Nine Inch Nails keyboardist Alessandro Cortini is doing something pretty creative in order to get the fans’ attention: selling synthesizers.

According to TwentyFourBit.com, in addition to releasing the digital album SONOIO, which is Italian for “it’s me,” Cortini is offering a special package that includes not only the standard download, CD, and random assorted extras and goodies but also a custom-built synthesizer. The SuONOIO is a portable synthesizer that will let you play around with the sounds and various effects found on the album. That, along with an LP and exclusive EP, and you will surely get your $160 worth. A little high for your tastes? Head to the official site for more deals.

Feel free to stream the first four tracks from the album below.
