Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax announce more US tour dates

on July 12, 2010, 1:40pm

While it may not be on par with the metal mindfuck that was Sonisphere Bulgaria, America can’t really complain about its upcoming American Carnage tour dates. In addition to a previously announced leg of Canadian and US dates set for July and August, the metal trio of Megadeth and Slayer have added a second leg, this time with fellow super power Anthrax tagging along.

This particular endeavor is set to begin on September 24th in Dallas and will take the bands to locations across the United States south, including Florida. After making their way up north with dates in Baltimore, Long Island, and Scranton, the metal gods will turn west, traveling through mid-west cities like Columbus, Grand Rapids, and Milwaukee, before coming to a conclusion on October 21st in Hollwood, CA.

The second leg will once again see Megadeth and Slayer revisit its respective 1990 classics, Rust in Peace and Seasons in the Abyss, as both albums will be performed in their entirety at each date.

A special pre-sale will launch this Wednesday, July 14th. The public on sale date will follow on July 23rd in most markets.

“In the spirit of beating the recession,” there will be special pre-sale discounts on all tickets in most markets (see below for more details), plus a limited amount of $10 tickets will be available in many cities — log onto any of the bands’ websites or onto Ticketmaster‘s site for those details. What’s more, Megadeth has teamed up with iloveallaccess.com to provide fans with VIP experiences including priority venue access, meet and greets, parties, exclusive gifts and more. Click here for more info. Plus, fans who purchase their tickets online at either www.slayer.net or Ticketmaster – will receive a free download of the live audio track “War Ensemble”, set to be included on Slayer’s forthcoming, as yet unannounced, Live Intrusion DVD release.

Of course, all this comes in addition to the previously announced DVD featuring footage from the aforementioned Sonisphere Bulgaria concert. A September release is expected.
