Watch: Belle & Sebastian perform new song live

on July 14, 2010, 1:34pm

After a two-plus year pause, all is again swell on the Belle & Sebastian front. The Scottish product recently embarked on an extensive world tour, which will offer indie pop loving audiences everywhere a preview of their yet-to-be-titled seventh full-length. Case in point is the video that Stereogum discovered (via 24B) of the band performing a new track titled “I Didn’t See It Coming” at a recent gig Helsinki, Finland. The footage itself might be a bit on the shaky side, but the audio is crystal clear and reflects a band that sounds surprisingly tight dishing out yet another tone that proves instantly lovely.

In related news, opportunities to hear new songs are being added by the day. Belle & Sebastian recently confirmed a few more west coast dates for the US in October, highlighted by an appearance at the San Francisco based Treasure Island Festival.
