Avi Buffalo roam the plains of the U.S.

on August 28, 2010, 12:30pm

Long Beach’s Avi Buffalo has been thrown into the rock and roll scene headfirst. Since releasing their debut LP, they have separated their own tour dates with stints opening for the likes of Modest Mouse and My Morning Jacket. Those are some big stages for kids just out of high school. If for some strange, inexplicable reason you don’t care for Modest Mouse or My Morning Jacket, and thus did not see Avi Buffalo when they came through your town, you now have a chance to check the band out on their own headlining tour. Good deal, right?

Along with a couple of slots opening for Blitzen Trapper in Florida, the fall trek will see the youngsters start on the Eastern seaboard and slowly make their way across the United States. They will finish off with the traditional jaunt down the West Coast and end up in their home of Los Angeles, with no date currently scheduled there. Emphasis on the currently.
