Badly Drawn Boy announces first studio album in four years

on August 24, 2010, 12:45pm

If you don’t count scoring the soundtrack for The Fattest Man in Britain late last year, Damon Gough, the British singer-songwriter who performs and records under Badly Drawn Boy, hasn’t said much else album-wise in the last four years. However, all that will soon change… and in a rather big way. This October, Gough will return triple strength with plans for a trilogy entitled It’s What I’m Thinking.

According to Under The Radar, Gough’s first album in the trilogy will be It’s What I’m Thinking Part 1 – Photographing Snowflakes, and will be available in the UK on October 4th and a week later in North America. Gough says he decided to do a trilogy because he felt it would be the best way of capturing his post-Fattest Man creative surge, and give the songs the exposure they deserved.

Starting today, you can receive you first taste of the album by picking up its lead single, “Too Many Miracles”, on iTunes. You can also stream a demo of “In Safe Hands” below (via Sparkups.com).
