Mick Jagger and the rest of The Rolling Stones will soon be strutting around the globe on their supposed final tour, but Ronnie Wood is having his own ersatz last waltz with some of his good buddies. His upcoming 7th solo album, I Feel Like Playing, is studded with a litany of great musicians, all intending to lend Ronnie a leg-up in the solo album sales. Not that he really should need it considering he’s Ronnie Wood, but you get by with a little help from your friends. Today, you can check out another track from the album.
“Lucky Man” is a Wood effort that features Eddie Vedder… somewhere. I think he’s in the mix in the chorus? Anyhow, the bluesy Stones sound is in full effect on this track with Wood coaxing some mean riffs out of his Gibson. Think “Happy” but without the horn section and with the promise of Eddie Vedder showing up… somewhere.
