Though A Perfect Circle‘s imminent reunion has been a terribly kept secret since June, today the Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel-led outfit made it official. According to Blabbermouth, this fall will see the band perform their first live dates since 2004 as part of a five-city west coast tour. Awesome, right? Well, it gets so much better.
Shows in Phoenix (Marquee Theatre), Los Angeles (Avalon), Seattle (Showbox at The Market) and San Francisco (The Fillmore) will be three-night stops, with each night featuring one of the band’s three albums (2000’s Mer de Noms, 2003’s Thirteenth Step, and 2004’s eMOTIVe) in its entirety. Las Vegas (The Pearl) will be a two-night stand featuring performances of Mer de Noms and Thirteenth Step. Exact dates are still forthcoming.
For those of us not on the west coast, we’ll either have to wait for more dates to be announced or tune in to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 27th. We’ll of course update you as more information becomes available. Update: Here’s the touring lineup, per the band’s Twitter: Maynard James Keenan, Billy Howerdel, Josh Freese, James Iha, and Matt McJunkins.
Update #2: According to The Scenestar, the Los Angeles dates are here. A Perfect Circle will be playing the Avalon Monday, November 8th to Wednesday the 10th. Furthermore, a three-day pass will be available for purchase, and it’s fair to assume this will be an option for the other cities as well.
As for the Las Vegas dates, the two shows go down the weekend of November 20th. A presale is happening this Wednesday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
Expect another update with further dates and on-sale times.
