Nas has been collaborating with an eclectic mix of artists lately. In just the last six months, we’ve seen the 37-year-old Queens MC team up with DJ Green Lantern, his “distant relative” Damian Marley, and even guitarist Carlos Santana. Hes also been rumored to be working on RZAs new album. But now it looks like Nas who is also known by his Wu-Gambino name, Nas Escobar is finally ready to give his own career a little a little tender loving care.
The rapper confirmed to MTV.com that the second installment of his Lost Tapes compilation series will hit the streets on December 14th, adding “I’m unloading records I want the streets to hear.” There’s no word yet on what’s included, but Nas has released four studio albums since the release of his the original Lost Tapes eight years ago.
Nas also revealed plans to drop a new solo LP the follow up to 2008s Untitled next summer. We’ll keep you posted on any leaks, and while December isnt that far away, we do have another story on that Santana collaboration to hold you over until then.
