CoS Editor in Chief Mike Roffman describes the inaugural MoogFest as the most unique music festival of 2010, and it’s hard to disagree. In the name of Robert Moog, the sonic pioneer behind the Moog synthesizer, the Asheville, North Carolina based festival has rounded up a number of music’s most innovative and experimental acts, including Massive Attack, Devo, Big Boi, Girl Talk, Disco Biscuits, Cee-Lo, Jonsi, Hot Chip, MGMT, Thievery Corporation, Pretty Lights, Panda Bear, Caribou, RJD2, Sleigh Bells, Mutemath, and Neon Indian among others.
As a media partner of the festival, we wanted to use our “in” to offer our readers a chance to experience MoogFest 2010 firsthand… and for free. So, we’re currently giving away a pair of three-day passes to the festival! (Fun fact: Three-day passes sold out last week, so this is one of your last remaining chances to score them).
How do you win? Well, we want to know who you’re most excited to see and why. Share you answers in one of three ways:
— Post your answer in the comment section below.
— LIKE us on Facebook and then post your answer in the comment section.
— Follow us on Twitter and tweet your answer to @coslive.
Deadline for entry is Sunday, October 10th, and please, US contestants only.
MoogFest 2010 runs from October 29-31 in Asheville, North Carolina. Visit moogfest.com for all additional info. If you don’t win, you can still pick up single days passes to MoogFest by clicking here.
