Austin City Limits 2010 announces webcast schedule

on October 06, 2010, 12:30pm

Update: LCD Soundsystem, Vampire Weekend, The xx, Spoon, and The National have been added to the schedule. Watch here.

With summer behind us, the festival season is winding down for a sleepy winter. That doesn’t mean, however, that fall isn’t going to kick your musical butt a little. Case in point: the monster that is this weekend’s Austin City Limits. With eight stages spread across 46-acres of  Zilker Park in (duh) Austin, Texas, the festival will host over 130 artists. If you’re not one of the lucky hoard who got their hands on the now sold out passes, don’t think ACL is leaving you in the dust. After all, that’s what webcasts are for.

Like many of the major festivals around the globe, ACL has hooked itself up to the Internet and is scheduled to stream a selection of sets each day on their website. Airing from the festival’s four biggest stages, the web-lineup includes some of the top acts on the bill. That means Gogol Bordello, Gayngs, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Band of Horses, Sonic Youth, and more. Check out the complete schedule on ACL’s website and, for your convenience, down below. Keep in mind that all times are Central.

It’s worth a note that some of these scheduled webcasts don’t match up to scheduling of the festival itself (as with JJ Grey and Mofro, Edward Sharpe, and The Soft Pack). One assumes that these will be recorded from their earlier set-times and webcast later on. There are also some TBA spaces in the night slots, probably due to challenges in choosing which band to put up, or some legal mishegas having to do with headliners. Check back for updates, but whatever ends up filling in those spots, there’s plenty to catch from the comfort of your couch.
