Deadmau5 announces debut album, 4×4=12

on October 27, 2010, 3:40pm

Here’s something you probably didn’t know. Despite a slew of mixtapes, compilations, and digitial singles, as well as a festival headliner-like status, Deadmau5 is only now releasing his proper full-length debut.

On December 6th, Ultra Records will drop 4×4=12, an 11-track collection consisting of live Deadmau5 favorites such as “Cthulhu Sleeps” and “Some Chords” and a collaboration with fellow DJ Wolfgang Gartner called “Animal Rights”. There will also be a Sofi-feautring track titled, appropriately, “Sofi Needs A Ladder”, which will be released as the album’s next single on October 31st.

In support of the release, Deadmau5 is set to play some rather high-profile gigs, including a sold-out, three-night residency in New York City at the end of the month, a gig at the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans, and a New Years Eve date in Edmonton.
