Jimmy Eat World announce 2011 tour dates

on October 28, 2010, 10:10am

Remember when you were all worked up over Jimmy Eat World not coming to your city during the first leg of their Invented tour?  Well, fret no more because our good friends at Rock It Out! Blog have just reported that the Mesa, AZ, alt-rock elder statesmen still haven’t had enough of the road.

After wrapping up a slew of European dates with Minus The Bear, frontman Jim Adkins and his band will continue to support their seventh studio effort by kicking off the second leg of tour dates in Albuquerque, NM. The 14 dates take the boys from the desert to the swamp for a show in New Orleans before they play three shows in the Sunshine State. North Carolina and Georgia get a little love, and then Jimmy Eat World’s long and winding road leads them to the northeast for a handful of dates. The last show of the newly announced dates happens on Valentine’s Day in Pittsburgh, but don’t feel unloved if your town isn’t listed below. RIO!B also reports that more dates are set to be announced.

As if the prospect of seeing one of rock’s hardest working bands wasn’t enough, Seattle-based singer-songwriter David Bazan (most famous for his past work with Pedro The Lion) sent out a Twitter message telling his fans that he and his current band will be playing support on all of the new dates.

Ticket presales are now ongoing and general on sale commences on October 29th. The only exception is the New Orleans show, for which tickets are available on November 6th. More ticketing information is available through the band’s official website or at SeatGeek.com.

Also, don’t forget that Jimmy Eat World are one of the confirmed openers for Foo Figthers’ 2011 UK comeback shows. Find all confirmed tour dates below.
