devils night Third Man Records announce Devils Night in Nashville

By this point, it already seems physically impossible for Third Man Records HQ to be anything but the hottest live venue in North America. I mean, this year has already seen the Nashville based studio/live venue host performances from both Conan O’Brien and Jenny and Johnny. Plus, there’s that always constant threat of discovering the label’s owner, Mr. Jack White, looming in the background

Well, on October 30th, the awesomeness will continue with “Devils Night,” a Halloween spectacle hosted by none other than the Mistress of Darkness herself, Elvira. You know, the host of that show which White produced a theme for? Coincidence? No.

It’s not just nighttime nightmare that await fans though — after all, what would a gig at Third Man Records be without the music? Two groups are scheduled to perform on “Devils Night”: the Greenhornes will celebrate the release of their new album, ****, while all-female garage band the Black Bells will play their first live gig ever.

For collectors out there, the evening will also see the Greenhornes upcoming LP available as a die cut fold out sleeve offered on four different colors of vinyl. As for Black Bells, they’ll have their 7″ picture disc for “Elvira’s Movie Macabre Theme Song” available.

And if all that weren’t enough, the show will also include Third Man DJs (Meg?), door prizes, and a full bar.

Tickets for the 21+ event are $15 and are available for purchase on Third Man’s website. Attendees are also required to wear a costume, but a word of warning: If a White Stripes outfit is the first thing that comes to mind, then everyone else is thinking it too. So don’t do it!
