Acid House Kings prep first album in five years

on November 12, 2010, 4:20pm

There aren’t many albums that come along with the promise of having castanets on every single song. However, that is just what Swedish Pop group the Acid House Kings aim to deliver.

Five years on since their last release, 2005’s Sing Along with The Acid House Kings, the band seems to be taking a meticulous approach to the production of their forthcoming fifth album, titled Music Sounds Better With You. However, as lead single “Are We Lovers, Or Are We Friends?” highlights, they are making sure not to forget the sun-drenched, jangly pop core of their sound that fans have come to know. Described by the band as,  “sharper, catchier and livelier” than past releases, as well as the aforementioned guarantee of,”…castanets on every single song,” Music Sounds Better With You is seen by the group in general as a “goodbye to genre obligations.” The album is due out March 22nd, 2011 on Labrador, at which point, we can all judge for ourselves.
