Things I know about our brethren down under: they’re paying Oprah lots of money to come visit and they scored one of the most badass tours in recent years. I’m of course speaking of U2’s trek featuring one Shawn Carter as the opener. Their own performances aside, the tour packs a powerful punch thanks to its collaborative potential, first realized at the EMAs in November 2009, and further exemplified in New Zealand earlier today, when they dropped the first performance of the U2 track “Scarlet” in some 30 years.
And all we got on Thanksgiving was Ninja Turtle West on a giant float.
